OUR MISSION: Living Faith is a Christian church that welcomes all as we strive to live our faith in service to our community (local and global), by equipping each other to grow in faith and be generous in love in order to pursue what's most-important: our hope-filled life in Christ.
Phew, that’s a mouthful! Let’s break that down…
“Living Faith is a Christian church…”
We believe Jesus is true God and yet also truly human. We don't fully understand that, but we believe it because the Bible teaches it! He took the sins of all humanity upon himself so that when he died they would be paid for in full. It's a done deal. We don't pay for our brokenness or our mistakes because HE already did.
Our beliefs follow the Bible as interpreted by Lutheran teaching. We believe baptism is a means of grace by which the Holy Spirit washes away sin, and we baptize people of all ages (infant through adult) through the sprinkling of water. When we observe the Lord’s Supper, we believe the body and blood of Jesus are present in the bread and wine. Our pastors are happy to discuss any of these teachings with you!

Living Faith is the kind of church where you can feel comfortable if you don't know much about God, faith, the Bible, or church.

We are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and proclaim that good news in its fullness. One of the ways we share God’s love is to serve others. We partner with local organizations to help care for people in the metro Des Moines area. We also have a strong connection to global missions and send teams to our partner organizations in Kenya 1-2 times a year.

We are a church that loves to grow in faith together, desiring to do life together as Jesus did with his disciples. We offer several Bible studies to help people dig into God’s word, and we encourage everyone to grow deeper in relationship with each other through our Home Groups.

When it comes down to it, everything we do at Living Faith is about Jesus Christ.
