Plan Your Visit

We know it can be unnerving to step into a church for the first time. Let us give you an idea of what you’ll experience when you visit.

What You Can Expect

We are a multi-generational church and offer programs for people of all ages. Nervous about bringing a crying baby? No need to worry - many of us are in that stage of life too! Children are always welcome in our services.

In our worship services, you’ll hear God’s word, sing contemporary worship music led by a band, and have an opportunity to pray. Everything you need to participate will be displayed on screens, but it’s also okay if you just want to observe and take it all in. (Like to know more before diving in? We get it! Check out our YouTube channel for past livestreams.)

All of our sermons are rooted in the Bible. Our pastors create themed series to dive deeper into specific topics. Each message is based on God’s word and gives practical application for your life today.

FAQ

When are your worship services? Sundays at 9:30 am

Where are you located? 2180 NW 142nd Street, Clive, IA 50325

How long are services? 60-70 minutes

What should I wear? Clothes. We do require clothes. What kind? That’s up to you. On any given Sunday you'll see shorts and flip-flops, jeans and t-shirts, khakis and polos, and a suit or two.

What about my kids? Kids of all ages are always welcome in our services. During the school year, we offer Children’s Church for preschool and elementary aged kids during the sermon.

What is communion and should I participate? We believe communion is a tangible way God demonstrates the forgiveness of sins. We believe the body and blood of Jesus are present in the bread and wine, as outlined in our Lutheran theology. If you’re not sure about all this, that’s okay! Our pastors are happy to talk with you and answer any questions you have, and it’s fine if you’d rather not participate until you feel more sure about it.

Will you make me stand up during service to be recognized as a visitor? Absolutely not. We’re a chatty bunch, so don’t be surprised if someone strikes up a conversation with you before or after service, but you don’t have to worry about being called out publicly.

Anything else I should know? We invite you to join us for coffee and snacks afterwards!
